Robert 'Tad''s Story

WOW! ! ! 37 years gone by. A lot has happened in those 37 years, most all good. After graduation, Life went on as always, only there were no more summers. It was work, work, work, with some play here and there. Parties and drinking, bars after work, boos and girls were the main focus, along with hunting. Decided to stop drinking just before I got married in 1979, had a daughter, 'Lauren Mallissa', born in 1980, I divorced in 1982 and raised Lauren for about a year, until I met Renee' ('77 Harbor grad.), and we were married in nov. of 1983 after her divorce was final. So Renee' and her daughter 'Erin Kathleen' joined Lauren and myself to start a new life. Along the way we added Robert Tad jr., Anna Nicole and then Douglas Chad, each two years apart. They were all great kids, of course with some minor problems, like drugs, alcohol and rebellion (somewhat like the 'prodical son' in the bible). And like the 'Prodical son', they have ALL come back home, figuratively speaking, and are all doing awesome. GOD is good. Speaking of how good God is, I was saved some-time in 1990-91. Been following and seeking Him ever since. Renee' and I have been up and down (many struggles in the early years), but have grown to be best friends and our marriage gets stronger and stronger. Over the years we have enjoyed raising our five children and sharing in many different activities such as 'snow skiing' and 'boarding', fishing, paint-balling, dirt bikes, little league, girls softball, horses, dove hunting, archery, 2 to 3 day Harley trips, etc, etc., the list goes on. FAMILY is important and worth protecting. Now, thanks to Erin and Lauren, and thier husbands, we are now doing many of the same activeties that we did with our children, we are now doing with our five (5) GRANDKIDS, Meilynn, John, Herbie, Hailey, and A...Expand for more
iden. I have to take this opportunity to say that "GRANDKIDS" are the Greatest. We expect more in the future as we have three more kids to get married, and actually my little baby girl "annie" is engaged to be wed next summer to an absolute great young man 'Jason'. Still living in Scotts Valley, less than a mile from where I grew up. Have stayed in touch with only a couple of fellow class-mates over the years, and from time to time I run into a handfull of other class-mates, be it by chance or through work related circumstances. Renee' enjoys playing her guitars and writing a song here and there, and plays and sings on the worship team at church on sunday mornings. I really enjoy my work, construction, and other than FAMILY my strong passion is hunting. Weather it is shooting my rifle, shotgun, pistol or my compound bow, I truly love the thrill of harvesting a Deer, Elk, Pig, Turkey, Pheasant, Duck, Dove, Goose or whatever else we can eat. Actually, duck/goose season opens just nine days from now, on Oct. 22, 2011. Classmates, don't be bashfull or hesitant like I was in the beginning. I signed up for this Classmate thing years ago, but only started using it a couple of weeks ago. It is fun hearing from one another, and catching up on the past. REMEMBER, we were friends and more back then, time doesn 't have to change that, stay in touch, you may be the only way someone else might get in touch with someone from thier past, or they may hook you up with that certain person you haven't been able to find or hook up with. so explore! ! ! Love you ALL! I still haven't had a drink in 32 years, and you know-- I don't miss it, but get ahold of me and I will go to the bar with you and buy you a drink!!!!!! MAY YOU ALLOW GOD TO BLESS YOU !
